Garuda Cargo handles air cargo transportation services using the aircraft of Garuda Indonesia. Besides direct selling, Garuda Cargo also promotes servicesthrough cooperation with various Agents or Freight Forwarder and GSSA for both domestic and international destinations.
Through Cargo Service Center (CSC), Garuda Cargo handles "City to Port" and "City to City" cargo transportation services, so that cargo delivery process can be closer to the sender and the consignee. At the end of 2017, around 90 Cargo Service Center were established at several big cities in Indonesia, such as Bandung, Yogyakarta and Makassar, complementing existing CSCs in the airports. Garuda Cargo forms cooperation with 22 worldwide airlines, such as Korean Air, Malaysia Airlines, China Airlines to expand cargo delivery to overseas destinations.
In addition, Garuda Cargo manages its own warehouse operations at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Cengkareng, while theother warehouses are handled by third party service providers. Consistent with the growth of air cargo demand at Cengkareng, Garuda Cargo cooperateswith several warehouse managements, for instance, PT Gapura Angkasa and PT Pos Logistik, to expand warehouse management area, especially for domestic delivery services.
In 2017, Garuda Cargo reintroduces GO Express, a “Door to Door” service, in cooperation with third parties, PT AeroJasa Cargo. Similar to courier service, GO Express allows customers to pick up goods directly from their place to the consignee. Customers can choose GO Express deliveries based on their needs: time delivery (same day, one day, regular), type of goods (general cargo, special cargo), or type of delivery services (city to port, city to door, and door to door).
